about me

Pixel lovin' punk

About me

Senior Product Designer with 12+ years of experience designing intuitive digital experiences across media, big tech, entertainment, and startups.

Where I'm from
Husband, dad, and designer from beautiful Asheville, North Carolina. I like music, the outdoors, animals, and doing silly voices around the house. Catch me hanging out with family, cooking, hiking, getting tattoos, and tinkering on side projects in my free time.
What I used to do
After years of freelancing and web agency life, I was ready to explore the fast-paced world of startups and product design. I joined an early-stage startup founded by Tim Jenkins, co-founder of SendGrid. During this transition, I had to unlearn many agency concepts—shifting from striving for pixel perfection to solving real user problems and focusing on business outcomes.
What I do now
After two years at TableNeeds, I moved into a Sr. Product Designer role with Qualifi, designing for high-volume talent acquisition. This was my jam for nearly three years until Qualifi decided it was time to make budget cutbacks. I was one of the unlucky ones in a round of layoffs.
What I'm looking for
Now that I'm a free agent, here are the most important things I'm looking for in my next role (in case we might be a good fit):

  • Org which values design and UX.
  • Purposeful work with a diverse team of talented people.
  • Seed-stage or later startups; open to earlier stages if the vibe is right.
  • Transparent leadership (and not just on paper).
  • Work/life balance.
  • Fair pay.
